13F cluster events

Form 4 lag: insiders have 2 business days to file after a trade (weekends and holidays extend this), and this site re-ingests once daily — a transaction can appear here roughly three business days after it happened.
13F lag: quarterly 13F-HR holdings cover the prior quarter-end and are due 45 days after it — every institutional position shown here is at least 45 days old by construction, often more.
CUSIP→ticker gaps: 13F positions are reported by CUSIP; some holdings cannot be matched to a current ticker (delistings, corporate actions, thin metadata) and appear without one or are omitted from ticker-level views.
EDGAR timing variability: institutions file at different hours and days within their windows; amended filings (4/A, 13F-HR/A) can restate earlier periods, so historical aggregates may change between batches.

Positions that 3+ tracked managers reported as new or increased in the same quarter — the 13F analog of the Form 4 cluster page, with the manager as the entity and the quarter as the window. These are filings that happened, not signals to act on: with a 45-day lag and quarter-end snapshots, shared adds are often index or style flow (Lewellen 2011).

Reading 13F data:

45-day lag. Reports are due 45 days after quarter-end (positions as of 2026-06-30, filings due 2026-08-14) — every number here is weeks stale by the time it is public, and mid-window snapshots miss managers who haven't filed yet.
Long-only, US-listed 13(f) securities. No short positions, no international listings, no credit or cash — and option reporting is too partial to interpret. A "portfolio" here is the reportable slice, not the whole book.
Quarter-end snapshot. Positions are as of the report date, not today; anything bought and sold inside the quarter never appears at all.
Reporting thresholds. Only managers with >$100M in 13(f) securities file, and positions under 10,000 shares and $200,000 may be omitted — small managers and small positions are invisible.
Descriptive, not advice. "N managers added X" is a fact about filings. Holder-count rises are often index membership or style flow, not conviction (Lewellen 2011). Nothing here is investment advice.
